Data Protection
The Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) controls how personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government.
The Police & Crime Commissioner’s Office (OPCC) is bound by the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to provide an individual with any information we may hold about them, should they request it and to ensure any data we do hold is treated in a responsible manner. South Yorkshire Police is a separate organisation to the PCC’s Office, so any Data Protection issues about information held by the Force should be directed to South Yorkshire Police.
Our Data Protection Policy (which explains how the OPCC obtains, holds, uses, and discloses information about people), Privacy Notice and Subject Access Request Policy are available below:
More information about making a Subject Access Request can be found here.
