Home Office funding secured to help prevent domestic abuse in South Yorkshire before it happens

Today (Wednesday 18 November 2020) the Home Office have announced a major funding boost to support organisations tackling domestic abuse and provide services for victims in the lead up to winter with greater demand expected.

The Home Office has announced that a further £1.6m of funding will be made available to the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Dr Alan Billings, to continue the work of the recently established Violence Reduction Unit for South Yorkshire.

Further Home Office funding secured to support Ben Needham Investigation

South Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner has secured further funding from the Home Office to allow South Yorkshire Police to continue to support the Greek authorities in the search for Ben Needham.
