2016/17 GRANT SCHEME LAUNCHED
CHIEF CONSTABLE PUBLISHES REPORT ON SOUTH YORKSHIRE POLICE
At the beginning of May, Chief Constable Dave Jones and Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Billings, asked the College of Policing for support in considering the force’s operational and organisational capability and capacity.
PREFERRED CANDIDATE SELECTED FOR CHIEF CONSTABLE
Deputy Chief Constable Stephen Watson has been selected as the preferred candidate for new Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police by the Police and Crime Commissioner, Dr Alan Billings.

INTERIM CHIEF CONSTABLE APPOINTED AT SOUTH YORKSHIRE POLICE
South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Dr Alan Billings, has appointed a new interim Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, until a permanent Chief Constable is recruited and appointed to the post in due course.

The Office of the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner is recruiting for volunteers to hold the position of Independent Custody Visitor.
INDEPENDENT POLICING PROTESTS ADVISORY PANEL
The South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner has established an Independent Policing Protests Advisory Panel to work with South Yorkshire Police in the planning and learning stages of managing protests and marches.
