BRADFIELD PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

Dr Alan Billings, South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner visited Bradfield, Sheffield last week to attend a Parish Council meeting.

Accompanying South Yorkshire Police’s PCSOs Carol Raynes and Elli-May Mansell, he spoke about his role as Police and Crime Commissioner and how he holds the Chief Constable to account.

Also in attendance with Dr Billings at the meeting was Councillor Trevor Bagshaw and between them they listened to residents concerns about rural crimes, parking inconsiderately around the local school when children were being collected and issues surrounding dog fouling.

Dr Alan Billings said: “It was very important that the community here in Bradfield and residents across South Yorkshire have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with the police, council representatives and other partners.  Here is Bradfield I have heard how some very simple issues are causing great concern for residents in the area.

“All of the concerns raised will be taken seriously and looked in to and I hope that these meetings will no be held regularly and provide and engagement opportunity for partners to listen and improve the areas for those living in them.”

The PCSOs also spoke about their work in Bradfield and the parish council representatives advised that they would follow up by making stronger contact with the local police from now on.
