PCC Attends Mosborough Speeding Review

South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Dr Alan Billings met with local residents last week to hear their concerns following the Mosborough Speeding Review.

The meeting was the latest in the series and discussed the outcomes of a recent survey published. Its aim was to understand the concerns of residents and members of the public who utilise the Mosborough Parkway area, particularly around speeding.

The Commissioner was joined by an officer from South Yorkshire Police, local Councillors, Clive Betts MP, staff from the highways department at Sheffield City Council and the Local Area Committee representative.

Following the meeting, Dr Billings said: “Everywhere I go people tell me of concerns for speeding in their area. Sometimes it is not always speeding itself, but not driving appropriately for the condition of the roads. I thank our officer from South Yorkshire Police for attending and providing reassurance that the residents’ concerns are being listened to.

“Over the coming months, local partners will work to build a bigger picture of the work required and measures that can be put in place to address the concerns of the community.”
