CRIME STATISTICS – KNIFE CRIME DOWN IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE

The Crime Statistics have been published today, (Thursday, 24 January 2019) by the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

FUNDING AWARDED FROM THE HOME OFFICE EARLY INTERVENTION FUND

South Yorkshire is to receive £1,245,680 from the Home Office Early Intervention Fund for two projects to target young people at risk of becoming involved in crime.

SOUTH YORKSHIRE’S FIRST KNIFE BIN LAUNCHED IN SPITAL HILL

The first knife bin in South Yorkshire has been installed outside the Lighthouse on Handley Street, Burngreave (in Spital Hill) to help rid the area of knives and other weapons and stop the violence associated with them.
